ICAN Learn is a registered training organisation that focuses on the development of education, training, empowerment and leadership for the community services, financial counselling, capability, and resilience sectors. ICAN Learn is a social enterprise based in Bendigo, Victoria but delivers training nationally. ICAN Learn is a subsidiary of the Indigenous Consumer Assistance Network Ltd which is a not-for-profit organisation based in Cairns, Queensland. ICAN provides consumer education, advocacy, and financial counselling assistance for all indigenous Australians. 

ICAN Learn is seeking casual Trainers and Assessors for the delivery of the following qualifications:

  • Diploma of Financial Counselling
  • Certificate IV in Community Services
  • Rural Financial Counselling specialisation
  • Lead and Support Colleagues skillset

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality training and assessing, including the delivery of live-on line training in the community services and other relevant fields of practice. 
  • Develop, adapt, and implement assessment strategies.
  • Monitor learner progress and maintain relevant training records.

Essential qualifications:

  • Qualifications in Financial Counselling, Community Services or other relevant fields such as Social Work or Mental Health with recent experience or current industry competency in the sector.
  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment TAE40116/TAE40122

Skills, knowledge, and expertise:

  • Demonstrated understanding of relevant issues and protocols associated with Indigenous cultures and the ability to communicate effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members, councils, and associated groups.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver and assess training through a range of modalities including to those from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of compliance frameworks and responsibilities in relation to accredited training delivery.
