MoneyBusiness – new content on its way!

Two new modules focusing on ‘Scams’ and ‘Digital confidence’ will soon be available in the MoneyBusiness content! Feedback from MoneyBusiness Coaches, community professionals and past participants, indicated a need for more financial education resources that help participants build digital confidence and teach people how to identify and protect themselves from scams within the First Nations community. According to the 2025 Australian Digital Inclusion Index (ADII): First Nations Australians are digitally excluded at twice the rate of other Australians.

The Digital confidence module will cover foundational digital education such as exploring and staying safe on the internet, understanding digital identity, online shopping and internet banking. The Scams module will include new information on how to spot commonly used scam tactics (including social media), how emotions are used to make us more vulnerable to scams and how to protect yourself from scams.

The MoneyBusiness coach guide and prompt cards will be updated to include the new modules, and ICAN will be running upskilling sessions in the new content or MoneyBusiness Coaches once the content is released. Keep an eye out for an update via email once the modules are available!
