Hi Bernadette!

Can you tell us a bit about ICAN Learn’s new short course?

ICAN Learn’s new Lead and Support Colleagues (National code CHCSS00084) short course is an accredited skillset from the National Community Services Training Package.  It comprises 3 units of competence which we deliver via our live online real-time workshops that can be completed from just about anywhere in Australia.

Who is this course designed for?

This course is for anyone working in financial counselling, financial capability, or community services who wants to enhance their skills around leadership and team support, to prepare for leadership roles either as part of their career development, to enhance the functions of their teams or both.

How will it help people in their job?

This course provides an insight into the skills needed to lead and support colleagues, develop higher-level skills, build an understanding of organisational and team dynamics, and hone your skills in leadership.  It will also assist you to think about being a leader and what that means for you and your organisation.

What does the course involve?

It’s a short course with a weekly class; so it’s imperative to attend all classes which are conducted using our live online zoom approach – the course is not self-directed.  You will need to complete and be marked as competent in some written assessments to achieve this skillset. We even give you 4 weeks after the last class to get the assessments done!

What do I get in the end?

People who successfully complete all aspects of the course will receive a Statement of Attainment that can be used nationally for credit transfer to equivalent subjects into a number of other Community Services qualification you may intend to undertake in the future.

How much does it cost?

The course costs $1200 per student, or a discount is available for groups over 5 if a workplace wishes to educate its staff.  ICAN Learn can help with payment plans for students who struggle to pay upfront.

How are my student fees helping others?
