This training is a response to the need for increased financial literacy in our communities. Community sector workers can enable their clients to make informed decisions by enhancing their own understanding of mechanisms of industry management of financial hardship and disadvantage in our communities.
ICAN learn works with organisations to deliver the Financial Literacy Education skill set to their workforce through a blended delivery approach that includes face to face training, online learning, self directed home study and workplace based learning.
Participants can undertake this training to achieve accreditation by ICAN Learn for the skill set in Financial Literacy Education (CHCSS00077) and upon completion will receive a Statement of Attainment.
These units provide an excellent pathway into studying the Diploma of Financial Counselling, although they do not provide opportunity for direct credit transfer of the units.
The Accredited units are a part of many Community Services qualifications at both Certificate III and IV level and achievement of these Accredited Units will enable Credit Transfer into those other qualifications. (e.g. Certificate III and IV in Community Services Work and Certificate III in Health etc.)
Details about which qualifications contain these units as electives can be found on www.training.gov.au and entering CHCSS00077 in the search panel.
“The team really valued the Financial Capability training last week, and especially Robyn’s skilled facilitation. They all said how much they learnt and how engaging and interesting the delivery was. Thank you so much for coming to our patch and doing such a fantastic job. I hope we can do more together in the future.” Christine Grose - YFS Client Service Manager 11/6/18
