Our Financial Literacy Education course responds to the growing need for increased financial literacy in our communities by educating community sector workers. An informed workforce can empower their clients to make informed financial decisions by enhancing their own understanding about the way industry responds to financial hardship and disadvantage in our communities.
ICAN learn responds to sector needs and works with organisations to deliver the Financial Literacy Education skill set to their workforce through a blended delivery approach that meets the needs of their workforce.
The financial literacy skill set has 3 units:
CHCEDU005: Work with clients to identify financial literacy education needs
CHCEDU006: Improve clients' fundamental financial literacy skills
CHCEDU007: Provide group education on consumer credit and debt
These 3 Accredited units are a part of many Community Services qualifications at both Certificate III and IV level and achievement of these Accredited Units may enable Credit Transfer into other qualifications. (e.g. Certificate III and IV in Community Services Work and Certificate III in Health etc.) and provide excellent preparation for studying the Diploma of Financial Counselling.
“The team really valued the Financial Capability training last week, and especially Robyn’s skilled facilitation. They all said how much they learnt and how engaging and interesting the delivery was. Thank you so much for coming to our patch and doing such a fantastic job. I hope we can do more together in the future.” Christine Grose - YFS Client Service Manager 11/6/18
